About Alvin & His Family
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Alvin and I'm the owner of the LearningChamp.com
website. My family and I live in the sunny and beautiful country -
Singapore.
In 2002, together with my wife Kah Hong, we created our first
parenting-related website called the Parenting Network For The
Achievement of Human Potential.
What motivates us to create the Parenting Network is because of our
daughter, Ethel. She was a 2-year-old then when she started learning the
piano. She progressed very well in her piano and many parents asked us
to share our experience.
Initially we told our story one person at a time but more and more
people were interested to learn about the things we did. Hence I decided
to write a 14-page report to share our experience and create a website
for people to download it. Since then, I have written many articles and
information related to early childhood development and other parenting

As our daughter grows and with another baby in 2005 (i.e. our younger
son Ethan), I decided to expand the scope of our parenting site and that
brought about the creation of Learning Champ in August 2005 - the site
that you are seeing today.
Learning Champ is a parenting portal where you will get information,
tips, ideas and resources will help your child to develop the important
skills, knowledge and mind set for a brighter future.
It is our passion to help all
parents and children to become successful and develop the mindset of
true champions!
